Did Cartoonist Paul Conrad PreCog a Political Reality Back in 1985?

The Muppets Resisting

The Wisdom of Miss Piggy

While paging through the late Political cartoonist, Paul Conrad’s 1985 book, ‘Drawn and Quartered,’ I came across a cartoon featuring Sesame Street’s Muppets. The starring role in this drawing belongs to Miss (or politically correct, Ms ) Piggy who proudly states “I’m Nobody’s Puppet.”

I had the strangest feelings I recognized her as someone who used to be very close, to the now 47th US President, but is no longer his ally. And quite vocal about it.

The Way-Back four decades ago

Forty-one years after this cartoon appeared, and the resemblance to a current independent thinker is striking – not only the caricature of Mss Piggy, but the sentiment expressed by her doppelganger as she loudly resigned from Congress.

She was one of the only elected officials to stand with the victims of The Epstein Files, as Miss Piggy surely would have also. Miss Piggy would also strongly protest the downsizing of The EPA and its lack of authority over Climate Change.

Most people will say the cartoon’s a coincidence, or stretching it, but the truth is brave Miss Piggies still exist, not cartoons, but in reality, and Conrad’s pen foresaw it. We call it PreCognition.

Brave women are not puppets

There are brave women speaking out today by protesting, filing lawsuits, running for office and voting NO. Likely they’ve been influenced by Miss Piggy and her doppelgänger.

But, beware the Puppets who remain. They will see how easily their strings break.
